Light

With many lamps, the color temperature can be adjusted via app. In this model, the color temperature ranges from 2200 kelvin to 6500 kelvin. Conventional light bulbs usually consume more power than an LED lamp to provide the same illumination of the room. However, in order to be able to make a comparison between the various illuminants, the specification of the lumens is increasingly made. This is the amount of light emitted in a certain time, without paying attention to the power consumption. For comparison: A conventional light bulb with 40W power will show about 400-450 lumens. The Smarthome light considered here, on the other hand, emits 1820 lumen. Philips has defined the power consumption for the devices described here with 19 w. However, the specification may differ from the actual power consumption depending on which colors/color temperatures and brightnesses are set. For example, while manufacturers mostly measure lumens at white color and full brightness, the power consumption might have been measured at slight dimming. However, it would also be possible to measure at full brightness, which could lower the power consumption at 19 w. In short, this is an approximate guide from Philips.

Design

While LED's usually have a much longer life span than conventional bulbs, the replacement of the bulbs was not made possible by Philips. Admittedly, this is acceptable for pure light bulbs, but larger housings could cause more electrical waste. This light weighs 1.432 kg.

Protection

The Smarthome lights are classified as IP20 and may be able to withstand water, dust or accidental contact to a certain degree. For more information, see IP code on Wikipedia.
