Specifications
In this article, we will list all known specifications for the Hue Liane Wall Lamp smarthome light from Philips.
Communication
What would smart devices in our household be if they could not communicate with each other? Most likely not smart! For this reason, Philips has provided one or more of the following communication channels for integration:
- Bluetooth
- Zigbee
Supported functions
The following features/functions are supported by this device:
- Switch the light on or off via your smartphone or the Bridge.
- Change the brightness.
- Changing the color temperature like warm or cool white.
- The smartphone app allows you to choose from different shades.
- The lamp can be adjusted so that it shines in a clear white.
- Automatic switch-on behavior.
Third party integrations
Don't want to use the integration/bridge that the manufacturer Philips specifies? That's not a problem. See the list below for all verified integrations that work with Hue Liane Wall Lamp :
- Connection via Zigbee2MQTT
- Alexa Smart Home
Light
The light source is capable of generating a color temperature of 6500 to 6500 kelvin. The unit lumen is a measurement to determine the amount of light emitted per given time. Conversely, this means that the higher the lumen, the brighter a lamp shines. As a rule, for example, 500-600 lumens per square meter are sufficient to illuminate a bathroom. For comparison, the Hue Liane Wall Lamp is given as 740. Philips has defined the power consumption for the devices described here with 12 w. However, the specification may differ from the actual power consumption depending on which colors/color temperatures and brightnesses are set. For example, while manufacturers mostly measure lumens at white color and full brightness, the power consumption might have been measured at slight dimming. However, it would also be possible to measure at full brightness, which could lower the power consumption at 12 w. In short, this is an approximate guide from Philips.
Design
If we look at the design, we inevitably have to look at the smart light's casing. Complete systems are often offered particularly pretty or compact. Unfortunately, this also means that opening the housing is not provided and changing the light source is not possible. However, if it is a smart device with a lamp socket, for example, the illuminants can be changed in the simplest way. In this case, it is unfortunately not possible to change the bulbs used from Hue Liane Wall Lamp because they are permanently installed. This is usually the case with smart light bulbs and cannot be solved without problems, for example at Philips. The device weighs in at 466 g.
Protection
The IP classification determines the degree of protection that mechanical and electrical housings offer against the ingress of foreign bodies, dust, accidental contact and water. These smart home lights have a classification of IP20.
