Specifications
The company Philips offers with its product Hue Runner Triple Spotlight (White) a smarthome solution in the field of lighting.
Communication
A wide variety of technologies can be used to control the Smarthome light, each of which can have its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, control via Wifi can be integrated into an existing network over longer distances, but consumes more power than, for example, Zigbee or Bluetooth. Wifi is therefore only suitable for devices that are permanently connected to the power grid. Hue Runner Triple Spotlight (White) supports the following technologies:
- Bluetooth
- Zigbee
Supported functions
The following features/functions are supported by this device:

- Zigbee2MQTT

Light
Conventional light bulbs usually consume more power than an LED lamp to provide the same illumination of the room. However, in order to be able to make a comparison between the various illuminants, the specification of the lumens is increasingly made. This is the amount of light emitted in a certain time, without paying attention to the power consumption. For comparison: A conventional light bulb with 40W power will show about 400-450 lumens. The Smarthome light considered here, on the other hand, emits 250 lumen.
Design
Let's start with the bulbs used, namely they can be changed in this case. However, in the case of incandescent bulbs, for example, this means replacing the entire bulb. The housing is made of white metal.
