Light

The lamp can assume a color temperature between 2700 and 2700 kelvin. Conventional light bulbs usually consume more power than an LED lamp to provide the same illumination of the room. However, in order to be able to make a comparison between the various illuminants, the specification of the lumens is increasingly made. This is the amount of light emitted in a certain time, without paying attention to the power consumption. For comparison: A conventional light bulb with 40W power will show about 400-450 lumens. The Smarthome light considered here, on the other hand, emits 470 lumen. The power consumption might also be relevant for some. Philips has indicated this with 5,7 w.

Design

If we look at the design, we inevitably have to look at the smart light's casing. Complete systems are often offered particularly pretty or compact. Unfortunately, this also means that opening the housing is not provided and changing the light source is not possible. However, if it is a smart device with a lamp socket, for example, the illuminants can be changed in the simplest way. In this case, it is unfortunately not possible to change the bulbs used from Hue P45 E14 Bulb because they are permanently installed. This is usually the case with smart light bulbs and cannot be solved without problems, for example at Philips. Philips chose plastics as the casing material. The color was kept in white.

Protection

The smart home lights have a classification of IP20 and may offer a certain degree of protection against water, dust and accidental contact. Further details can be found in the IP code article on Wikipedia.
