Light

With many lamps, the color temperature can be adjusted via app. In this model, the color temperature ranges from 2000 kelvin to 6500 kelvin. Conventional light bulbs usually consume more power than an LED lamp to provide the same illumination of the room. However, in order to be able to make a comparison between the various illuminants, the specification of the lumens is increasingly made. This is the amount of light emitted in a certain time, without paying attention to the power consumption. For comparison: A conventional light bulb with 40W power will show about 400-450 lumens. The Smarthome light considered here, on the other hand, emits 570 lumen. Power consumption was reported at 8.1 w from Philips.

Design

While LED's usually have a much longer life span than conventional bulbs, the replacement of the bulbs was not made possible by Philips. Admittedly, this is acceptable for pure light bulbs, but larger housings could cause more electrical waste. Philips opted for synthetic & metal as the housing material and presented it in the color white. The device has a weight of 860 g.

Protection

The IP classification determines the degree of protection that mechanical and electrical housings offer against the ingress of foreign bodies, dust, accidental contact and water. These smart home lights have a classification of IP20.
