Specifications
Connected Daylight is a smart home lighting solution developed by Cree. We have categorized this product as Bulb.
Communication
A smarthome device only becomes truly smart when it integrates and communicates with other devices. For this task, Cree relies on the following technologies to ensure communication and possible automations:
- Zigbee protocol
Supported functions
The following features/functions are supported by this device:
- Control the light conveniently with your smartphone or the Bridge - switch it on or off as required.
- Change the brightness.
- The lamp can be adjusted so that it shines in a clear white.
- Automated activation function.
Third party integrations
Don't want to use the integration/bridge that the manufacturer Cree specifies? That's not a problem. See the list below for all verified integrations that work with Connected Daylight :
- Zigbee home automation
- Alexa Smart Home
Light
The light source is capable of generating a color temperature of 2700 to 2700 kelvin. The smart bulb has a brightness of about 815 lumens. However, it should be noted that these values are often tested with a white light, as this is the brightest.
Design
The first step is the sustainability check: The installed light sources are permanently installed by Cree and thus unfortunately cannot be replaced. Although LEDs consume less power and have a longer lifespan, this is very annoying, especially for larger devices. With bulbs that have the electronics directly installed, a change by the manufacturer is difficult to implement. This is unfortunately a pity, but currently unavoidable. The housing is made of plastics and comes in a white color. Please take into account a product weight of approx. 68 g.
Protection
Make sure that these lights do not come into contact with water, dust or mechanical influences, as the Connected Daylight does not have IP certification.
