Specifications
Connected Daylight is a smarthome light manufactured by Cree. We have categorized this product as Bulb.
Communication
A smarthome device only becomes truly smart when it integrates and communicates with other devices. For this task, Cree relies on the following technologies to ensure communication and possible automations:
- Zigbee
Supported functions
The following features/functions are supported by this device:
- Switch the light on or off via your smartphone or the Bridge.
- Change the brightness.
- The luminaire can be configured to emit a white light.
- Automatic switch-on behavior.
Third party integrations
Don't want to use the integration/bridge that the manufacturer Cree specifies? That's not a problem. See the list below for all verified integrations that work with Connected Daylight :
- Zigbee home automation
- Alexa Smart Home
Light
With many lamps, the color temperature can be adjusted via app. In this model, the color temperature ranges from 2700 kelvin to 2700 kelvin. The smart bulb has a brightness of about 815 lumens. However, it should be noted that these values are often tested with a white light, as this is the brightest.
Design
The first step is the sustainability check: The installed light sources are permanently installed by Cree and thus unfortunately cannot be replaced. Although LEDs consume less power and have a longer lifespan, this is very annoying, especially for larger devices. With bulbs that have the electronics directly installed, a change by the manufacturer is difficult to implement. This is unfortunately a pity, but currently unavoidable. The case is made of plastics in a white color. This light weighs 68 g.
Protection
Please be careful when exposing these lights to water, dust or mechanical stress because the Connected Daylight does not have IP certification.
