Within this article we will take a closer look at the technical specifications of the C32G77T monitor from Samsung. For this we will talk about all possible categories that could be relevant. To start with, we will look at the display, talk about the design and in the next section we will go into the features of the monitor. Other features such as power consumption, connectors and certifications will follow later in the text.
Display
Let's start with the size of the actual display. This information is given in inches and measures the screen diagonal of the display. It can happen that displays with the same size specification have different dimensions, since square monitors, for example, can belong to the same category as a widescreen monitor. The monitor from Samsung in this article has a size of 31 inches ( 80.1 cm on the diagonal). As already mentioned or known, monitors have a certain number of pixels in height and width. In most cases, this is not a 1:1 ratio, which is also the case with the monitor from Samsung. This monitor has an aspect ratio of 1.778 : 1. This means that every 1.778 pixels in width 1 pixels in height are added. Approximately 87.7 % of the front surface of the monitor is covered by the display, while the remaining area consists of screen edges that do not allow any image output. If you want to set up several monitors next to each other, it is advisable to prefer models with the narrowest possible edges. The display is a SVA panel. The panel has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 px. The pixel density is 93 ppi. The pixel pitch is 0.273 mm. The continuous possible brightness specified by the manufacturer Samsung is 350 nt. The maximum brightness of the monitor is 600 nt on the panel. The panel is illuminated by W-LED. The built-in panel ensures stable color reproduction of the image, even at deviating viewing angles, by means of its 178 ° (horizontal) viewing angle. Samsung promises stable color reproduction moreover within a 178 ° vertical angle. Vertically, however, the image renews at a minimum rate of 60 hz up to 240 hz. The minimum response time of the monitor is ms. The display panel is Anti-glare/Matte.
Color space
The panel has a bit depth of 10 per color channel, but what does that mean? The number of bits determines how many colors can be encoded for the individual pixels of the display. For an 8-bit panel, for example, this is 256 different colors (2^8 = 256). However, since we usually display three different colors per pixel at the same time, in theory about 16 million (256^3) different colors are possible by mixing the three pixels. A 10-bit panel could even display a billion colors. The coverage of the Adobe RGB 1998 color space is 83 % according to the manufacturer. According to the manufacturer, the coverage of the DCI-P3 color space is 95 %. According to the manufacturer, the coverage of the SRGB color space is 125 %.
Contrast ratio
Contrast ratio is a common measurement used to represent the maximum relative differences in brightness between black and white. It describes the ability of a screen or projector to produce a high-contrast image and is the quotient of the maximum and minimum displayable luminance. The higher the values are away from each other, the stronger the quantitatively seen difference between black and white is set up, which in turn results in an improved image quality. This monitor from Samsung has a static contrast ratio of 2500 : 1 , according to the manufacturer.
HDR
The monitor supports all HDR modes listed here:
- HDR 600
screen design
For a possible wall mounting or comparison to the currently owned monitor at the beginning, the dimensions of the monitor without stand/feet: 43.9 cm x 71 cm x 18.7 cm (HxWxD)
If you want to place the monitor described here on the desk without a wall mount, you should allow for 47.4 x 71 x 30.5 cm (HxWxD) of space. The device weighs 8.2 kg with the stand in place. The monitor C32G77T without the stand weighs 6.5 kg. This weight reduction should be taken into account for wall or arm mounting, since monitor arms have a maximum load capacity. Speaking of weight without a stand and thus wall or table mounts. The monitor supports a Vesa mounting. A height-adjustable stand ensures an improved ergonomic posture during use. The monitor can be moved to a maximum height of 12 cm. This value is always measured from the bottom edge of the screen.
Curved
The C32G77T is a curved monitor with a curvature of 100 cm
Rotate, tilt and swivel
The monitor from Samsung has a pivot function and can thus be rotated using the included stand. A rotation to the left is possible with up to 2 degree. To the right, the monitor can be rotated by 92 degree. The C32G77T can be swiveled when mounted on the included stand. Pivoting to the left is possible up to 15 degree. Pivoting to the right is possible up to 15 degree. Thanks to the tilt function of the C32G77T monitor, the screen position can be flexibly adjusted to minimize dazzling light sources and ensure optimum visibility. The angle of inclination to the rear is 13. The monitor can be tilted forward by 9 degree.

Features
- Flicker Free: Samsung 's Flicker Free technology minimizes distracting screen flicker, allowing you to work and/or play longer without restrictions.
- AMD FreeSync Premium: By dynamically synchronizing the refresh rate of the C32G77T with frame rate, AMD FreeSync Premium minimizes judder and ensures smooth and enjoyable gaming. In addition, AMD FreeSync Premium guarantees that the monitor operates at a minimum of 120Hz at FHD and low framerate compensation (LFC) is available. The monitor earns the Pro with HDR support.
- Picture in Picture mode
- Nvidia G-SYNC
- The display/monitor supports Frame Rate Compensation.
Anyone who works a lot on the computer spends many hours a day in front of the screen. Excessive screen work can damage the eyes. This effect can be particularly pronounced during the darker hours and in the winter months. Many monitor manufacturers have now reacted and offer technologies and settings to reduce the blue component, which is primarily controversial. Depending on the manufacturer, these can be called "Low Blue Light", "Low Blue Light Technology", "SoftBlue" or even "Eye Saver Mode" and function differently. However, it is only important that Samsung offers a technology to reduce the blue content in its monitor C32G77T. The monitor from Samsung supports the reduction of artifacts within dark image areas, which are caused by compression of the played video files, for example. Depending on the manufacturer, this technology is called Black Boost, Dark Boost, Black Stabilizer, Black Equalizer or Black Enhancement. A built-in timer can automatically turn off the device after a predefined operating time. This feature is useful, for example, if you want to turn off the monitor automatically after 8 hours of work or if you simply forget to do so.
WiFi / Bluetooth
Power consumption
The average consumption figure for C32G77T is 60 w. The maximum power consumption (peak) specified for this monitor is 140 w. In standby mode, the device consumes approximately 0.5 w. When switched off, on the other hand, the monitor consumes only 0.5 w. C32G77T supports a static ECO mode, which for example lowers the refresh rate, reduces brightness and disables AI functions to save energy. The monitor can be operated on a 110v power supply. The monitor can be operated on a 220v power supply. The power grid has to supply a frequency of 50 hz to 60 hz.
Environment
The maximum permissible ambient temperature is 40 °C during operation. Below a temperature of 10 °C , the monitor from Samsung should again not be used. The humidity must not exceed 80 percent. At least, however, 10 percent humidity.
Packaging
The monitor is packaged in a cardboard box measuring 53.6 x 80.6 x 27.2 cm (height x width x depth). The box together with the monitor weighs about 12.8 kg.
