Within this article we will take a closer look at the technical specifications of the CS240 monitor from EIZO. For this we will talk about all possible categories that could be relevant. To start with, we will look at the display, talk about the design and in the next section we will go into the features of the monitor. Other features such as power consumption, connectors and certifications will follow later in the text.
Display
Let's start with the size of the display. It is 24 inches ( 61.1 cm on the diagonal) large and should thus offer enough space for all contents according to EIZO. As already known, two monitors with different outer dimensions can have the same screen diagonal. In the case of the monitor CS240 , we find an aspect ratio of 1.6 to 1. The remaining percent consists of screen edges and cannot display an image. If you want to place several monitors next to each other, you should make sure that the edges are as small as possible. The display is a IPS panel. The panel has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 px. The pixel density is 94 ppi. The pixel pitch is 0.27 mm. The continuous possible brightness specified by the manufacturer EIZO is 350 nt. The panel is illuminated by GB-r LED. The built-in panel ensures stable color reproduction of the image, even at deviating viewing angles, by means of its 178 ° (horizontal) viewing angle. EIZO promises stable color reproduction moreover within a 178 ° vertical angle. The refresh rate is horizontally seen at the CS240 26 khz to 78 khz. Vertically, however, the image renews at a minimum rate of 23.75 hz up to 63 hz. The minimum response time of the monitor is ms. The maximum response time of the monitor is ms. Color space
The panel has a bit depth of 10 per color channel, but what does that mean? The number of bits determines how many colors can be encoded for the individual pixels of the display. For an 8-bit panel, for example, this is 256 different colors (2^8 = 256). However, since we usually display three different colors per pixel at the same time, in theory about 16 million (256^3) different colors are possible by mixing the three pixels. A 10-bit panel could even display a billion colors. The coverage of the Adobe RGB 1998 color space is 99 % according to the manufacturer. According to the manufacturer, the coverage of the DCI-P3 color space is 95 %. According to the manufacturer, the coverage of the SRGB color space is 100 %.
Contrast ratio
Contrast ratio is a common measurement used to represent the maximum relative differences in brightness between black and white. It describes the ability of a screen or projector to produce a high-contrast image and is the quotient of the maximum and minimum displayable luminance. The higher the values are away from each other, the stronger the quantitatively seen difference between black and white is set up, which in turn results in an improved image quality. This monitor from EIZO has a static contrast ratio of 1000 : 1 , according to the manufacturer.

The size of the CS240 on the desk is likely to be particularly relevant for most users. EIZO specifies a space requirement of 42.3 x 57.5 x 24.5 cm (HxWxD) with the included stand. If you want to place the monitor on a table or even transport it, you should expect a weight of 8.7 kg with the stand screwed in. Without stand, the monitor weighs 6 kg. Speaking of weight without a stand and thus wall or table mounts. The monitor supports a Vesa mounting. A height-adjustable stand ensures an improved ergonomic posture during use. The monitor can be moved to a maximum height of 13 cm. This value is always measured from the bottom edge of the screen.
Rotate, tilt and swivel
The monitor from EIZO has a pivot function and can thus be rotated using the included stand. A rotation to the left is possible with up to 0 degree. To the right, the monitor can be rotated by 90 degree. The CS240 can be swiveled when mounted on the included stand. Pivoting to the left is possible up to 172 degree. Pivoting to the right is possible up to 172 degree. The monitor CS240 offers the option of adjusting the tilt as required to create an ergonomic working environment and reduce visual fatigue. The angle of inclination to the rear is 35. The monitor can be tilted forward by 5 degree.
