EIZO EV3895

Product image for EV3895

Within this article we will take a closer look at the technical specifications of the EV3895 monitor from EIZO. For this we will talk about all possible categories that could be relevant. To start with, we will look at the display, talk about the design and in the next section we will go into the features of the monitor. Other features such as power consumption, connectors and certifications will follow later in the text.

Display

Let's start with the size of the actual display. This is given in inches and measures the screen diagonal of the display. The monitor EV3895 has a display size of 37 inches ( 95.2 cm on the diagonal). It should be noted, however, that displays in this category can have different dimensions, since square monitors, for example, can have the same diagonal as a widescreen monitor. For books or documents, a portrait format layout is usually used because the reading flow decreases as the width of the text increases. For small diagonals, screens in 4:3 format have a clear advantage because they are better suited for display due to their height. In contrast, widescreen monitors are better suited for playing video games or displaying several documents side by side, for example. Depending on the application, it should be decided individually whether the aspect ratio of 2.4 : 1 is sufficient. If you want to pay attention to special aesthetics or simply want to place several monitors next to each other, you should pay attention to the ratio between display and non-display. The EV3895 is a monitor with a ratio of 90.5 % between usable and non-usable front surface. The display is a IPS panel. The panel has a resolution of 3840 x 1600 px. The pixel density is 111 ppi. The pixel pitch is 0.229 mm. The continuous possible brightness specified by the manufacturer EIZO is 300 nt. The panel is illuminated by W-LED. The built-in panel ensures stable color reproduction of the image, even at deviating viewing angles, by means of its 178 ° (horizontal) viewing angle. EIZO promises stable color reproduction moreover within a 178 ° vertical angle. The refresh rate is horizontally seen at the EV3895 31 khz to 99 khz. Vertically, however, the image renews at a minimum rate of 60 hz up to 60 hz. The minimum response time of the monitor is ms. The display panel is Anti-glare/Matte (3H).

Color space

The panel has a bit depth of 8 per color channel, but what does that mean? The number of bits determines how many colors can be encoded for the individual pixels of the display. For an 8-bit panel, for example, this is 256 different colors (2^8 = 256). However, since we usually display three different colors per pixel at the same time, in theory about 16 million (256^3) different colors are possible by mixing the three pixels. A 10-bit panel could even display a billion colors. According to the manufacturer, the coverage of the DCI-P3 color space is 94 %. According to the manufacturer, the coverage of the SRGB color space is 100 %.

Contrast ratio

Contrast ratio is a common measurement used to represent the maximum relative differences in brightness between black and white. It describes the ability of a screen or projector to produce a high-contrast image and is the quotient of the maximum and minimum displayable luminance. The higher the values are away from each other, the stronger the quantitatively seen difference between black and white is set up, which in turn results in an improved image quality. This monitor from EIZO has a static contrast ratio of 1000 : 1 , according to the manufacturer.

HDR

The monitor supports all HDR modes listed here:

screen design

Without the stand, the monitor comes with a width of 89.3 cm , a height of 39.8 cm and about 10.9 cm.
The size of the monitor (stand included) is 41.1 x 89.3 x 24 cm (HxWxD). The device weighs in total (i.e. also measured with the stand) 13.2 kg. The monitor EV3895 without the stand weighs 9.5 kg. This weight reduction should be taken into account for wall or arm mounting, since monitor arms have a maximum load capacity. Speaking of weight without a stand and thus wall or table mounts. The monitor supports a Vesa mounting. A height-adjustable stand ensures an improved ergonomic posture during use. The monitor can be moved to a maximum height of 19.2 cm. This value is always measured from the bottom edge of the screen.

Curved

The EV3895 is a curved monitor with a curvature of 2.3 m

Rotate, tilt and swivel

The monitor from EIZO cannot be rotated. The EV3895 can be swiveled when mounted on the included stand. Pivoting to the left is possible up to 35 degree. Pivoting to the right is possible up to 35 degree. Thanks to the tilt function of the EV3895 monitor, the screen position can be flexibly adjusted to minimize dazzling light sources and ensure optimum visibility. The angle of inclination to the rear is 35. The monitor can be tilted forward by 5 degree.

Ports

The monitor named ' EV3895 ' has 1 RJ45 Ethernet port(s), which enables a wired network connection. This port offers users the possibility to connect the device directly to a wired network, which can be beneficial in environments with a reliable and fast internet connection.

camera

This monitor does not have a camera.

Loudspeaker

The monitor from EIZO has integrated speakers, for playing sounds, music or speech. The sound is emitted via 2 speakers, which are integrated into the device. Each of the built-in speakers has a contingent of 1 w power.

Features

  • Flicker Free: EIZO 's Flicker Free technology minimizes distracting screen flicker, allowing you to work and/or play longer without restrictions.
  • Integrated KVM Switch

Anyone who works a lot on the computer spends many hours a day in front of the screen. Excessive screen work can damage the eyes. This effect can be particularly pronounced during the darker hours and in the winter months. Many monitor manufacturers have now reacted and offer technologies and settings to reduce the blue component, which is primarily controversial. Depending on the manufacturer, these can be called "Low Blue Light", "Low Blue Light Technology", "SoftBlue" or even "Eye Saver Mode" and function differently. However, it is only important that EIZO offers a technology to reduce the blue content in its monitor EV3895.

WiFi / Bluetooth

Power consumption

On average, the monitor consumes approximately 28 w. The maximum power consumption (peak) specified for this monitor is 194 w. EV3895 supports a static ECO mode, which for example lowers the refresh rate, reduces brightness and disables AI functions to save energy. The monitor can be operated on a 110v power supply. The monitor can be operated on a 220v power supply. The power grid has to supply a frequency of 50 hz to 60 hz.

Environment

For temperature, the maximum permissible ambient temperature is 35 °C. Below a temperature of 5 °C , the monitor from EIZO should again not be used. The humidity must not exceed 80 percent. At least, however, 20 percent humidity.
