Specifications
In this article, we present a comprehensive overview of the versatile specifications of the RGBIC LED Strip 5m smart home light from Govee. This product has been categorized as LED-Strip.
Communication
A wide variety of technologies can be used to control the Smarthome light, each of which can have its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, control via Wifi can be integrated into an existing network over longer distances, but consumes more power than, for example, Zigbee or Bluetooth. Wifi is therefore only suitable for devices that are permanently connected to the power grid. RGBIC LED Strip 5m supports the following technologies:
- Wireless Bluetooth connection technology
Supported functions
The following features/functions are supported by this device:
- Control the light conveniently with your smartphone or the Bridge - switch it on or off as required.
- Change the brightness.
- Changing the color temperature like warm or cool white.
- The smartphone app allows you to choose from different shades.
- The luminaire can be configured to emit a white light.
- Wireless updates
- Automatic switch-on behavior.
Third party integrations
Don't want to use the integration/bridge that the manufacturer Govee specifies? That's not a problem. See the list below for all verified integrations that work with RGBIC LED Strip 5m :
Light
Govee has defined the power consumption for the devices described here with 12 w. However, the specification may differ from the actual power consumption depending on which colors/color temperatures and brightnesses are set. For example, while manufacturers mostly measure lumens at white color and full brightness, the power consumption might have been measured at slight dimming. However, it would also be possible to measure at full brightness, which could lower the power consumption at 12 w. In short, this is an approximate guide from Govee.
Design
While LED's usually have a much longer life span than conventional bulbs, the replacement of the bulbs was not made possible by Govee. Admittedly, this is acceptable for pure light bulbs, but larger housings could cause more electrical waste. The housing is made of plastic and comes in a white color. The device weighs in at 210 g.
