The company Govee offers with its product RGBIC LED Strip 10m a smarthome solution in the field of lighting. We have categorized this product as LED-Strip.

Communication

Communication between, for example, the smartphone and the smarthome device takes place via one or more of the following technologies:

  • Wireless Internet (2.4 GHz)

Supported functions

The following features/functions are supported by this device:

  • Control the light conveniently with your smartphone or the Bridge - switch it on or off as required.
  • Change the brightness.
  • Adjustment of the color temperature settings to warm or cool shades of white.
  • Multiple colors can be selected in the smartphone app.
  • The lamp can be adjusted so that it shines in a clear white.

Third party integrations

Don't want to use the integration/bridge that the manufacturer Govee specifies? That's not a problem. See the list below for all verified integrations that work with RGBIC LED Strip 10m :

  • Intelligent home control with Zigbee home automation

Light

Typical light bulbs from the old days usually consume about 25-40 watts per hour. The smarthome light described here RGBIC LED Strip 10m gets by in comparison with 36 w. However, it is important to note that Govee is free to define this specification within certain limits. It is therefore possible that the power consumption may deviate slightly when the light is on at full brightness.

Design

While LED's usually have a much longer life span than conventional bulbs, the replacement of the bulbs was not made possible by Govee. Admittedly, this is acceptable for pure light bulbs, but larger housings could cause more electrical waste. The housing is made of plastic in the attractive color white. You should expect the product weight to be around 630 g.
