Specifications

92mm Walter RGB (WiFi) is a smarthome light manufactured by Mercator Ikuü. We have categorized this product as surface-mounted wall light.

Communication

A wide variety of technologies can be used to control the Smarthome light, each of which can have its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, control via Wifi can be integrated into an existing network over longer distances, but consumes more power than, for example, Zigbee or Bluetooth. Wifi is therefore only suitable for devices that are permanently connected to the power grid. 92mm Walter RGB (WiFi) supports the following technologies:

  • W-Lan (2.4 GHz)

Supported functions

The following features/functions are supported by this device:

  • Switch the light on or off via your smartphone or the Bridge.
  • Change the brightness.
  • Changing the color temperature like warm or cool white.
  • Multiple colors can be selected in the smartphone app.
  • The luminaire can be configured to emit a white light.
  • Over-the-air updates
  • Automatic switch-on behavior.

Third party integrations

Don't want to use the integration/bridge that the manufacturer Mercator Ikuü specifies? That's not a problem. See the list below for all verified integrations that work with 92mm Walter RGB (WiFi) :

  • Zigbee home automation

Light

The lamp can assume a color temperature between 3000 and 5700 kelvin. The unit lumen is a measurement to determine the amount of light emitted per given time. Conversely, this means that the higher the lumen, the brighter a lamp shines. As a rule, for example, 500-600 lumens per square meter are sufficient to illuminate a bathroom. For comparison, the 92mm Walter RGB (WiFi) is given as 740. Typical light bulbs from the old days usually consume about 25-40 watts per hour. The smarthome light described here 92mm Walter RGB (WiFi) gets by in comparison with 9 w. However, it is important to note that Mercator Ikuü is free to define this specification within certain limits. It is therefore possible that the power consumption may deviate slightly when the light is on at full brightness.

Design

The housing is made of white Aluminium. The device has a weight of 260 g.

Protection

The IP rating classifies and evaluates the level of protection that mechanical and electrical enclosures provide against ingress, dust, accidental contact and water. These smarthome lights are classified as IP44.
