Within this article we will take a closer look at the technical specifications of the VP2756-2K monitor from ViewSonic. For this we will talk about all possible categories that could be relevant. To start with, we will look at the display, talk about the design and in the next section we will go into the features of the monitor. Other features such as power consumption, connectors and certifications will follow later in the text.

Display

According to the manufacturer, the display measures 27 inches ( 68.5 cm on the diagonal). Let's keep it short and sweet. The monitor has an aspect ratio of 1.778 : 1. Approximately 90 % of the front surface of the monitor is taken up by the display, while the remaining part is screen edges that do not allow the image to be displayed. If you want to place several monitors next to each other, it is advisable to choose models with narrow edges. The display is a IPS panel. The panel has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 px. The pixel density is 109 ppi. The pixel pitch is 0.233 mm. The continuous possible brightness specified by the manufacturer ViewSonic is 350 cd/m2. The panel is illuminated by W-LED. The built-in panel ensures stable color reproduction of the image, even at deviating viewing angles, by means of its 178 ° (horizontal) viewing angle. ViewSonic promises stable color reproduction moreover within a 178 ° vertical angle. The refresh rate is horizontally seen at the VP2756-2K 15 khz to 130 khz. Vertically, however, the image renews at a minimum rate of 24 hz up to 75 hz. The minimum response time of the monitor is ms. The display panel is Anti-glare/Matte (3H).

Color space

The panel has a bit depth of 8 per color channel, but what does that mean? The number of bits determines how many colors can be encoded for the individual pixels of the display. For an 8-bit panel, for example, this is 256 different colors (2^8 = 256). However, since we usually display three different colors per pixel at the same time, in theory about 16 million (256^3) different colors are possible by mixing the three pixels. A 10-bit panel could even display a billion colors. The coverage of the Adobe RGB 1998 color space is 78 % according to the manufacturer. According to the manufacturer, the coverage of the DCI-P3 color space is 81 %. According to the manufacturer, the coverage of the NTSC 1953 color space is 78 %. According to the manufacturer, the coverage of the SRGB color space is 100 %. Additionally, this monitor is Pantone validated.

Contrast ratio

Contrast ratio is a common measurement used to represent the maximum relative differences in brightness between black and white. It describes the ability of a screen or projector to produce a high-contrast image and is the quotient of the maximum and minimum displayable luminance. The higher the values are away from each other, the stronger the quantitatively seen difference between black and white is set up, which in turn results in an improved image quality. This monitor from ViewSonic has a static contrast ratio of 1000 : 1 , according to the manufacturer. In contrast to the static contrast ratio, the dynamic contrast ratio changes the brightness of the panel itself in addition to the difference measurement from black to white. In addition to the difference between the brightest and the darkest pixel, the backlight is thus changed. Since the brightness of the panel may not be able to be adjusted exactly to a single pixel, a so-called halo effect is possible. The value of 20000000 : 1 of dynamic contrast ratio for the monitor VP2756-2K cannot provide any information about the severity of the halo effect here. Therefore, it is more useful to compare the static contrast ratio.

HDR

The monitor supports all HDR modes listed here:

screen design

For the installation of the monitor, a space requirement of approximately 36.3 cm in height, 61.3 cm in width and 5.3 cm in depth is to be assumed.
The size of the VP2756-2K on the desk is likely to be particularly relevant for most users. ViewSonic specifies a space requirement of 41 x 61.3 x 21.5 cm (HxWxD) with the included stand. The base itself has a depth of 21.5 cm. If you want to place the monitor on a table or even transport it, you should expect a weight of 6.9 kg with the stand screwed in. According to ViewSonic , you can expect a weight of about 4.4 kg without the stand. Speaking of weight without a stand and thus wall or table mounts. The monitor supports a Vesa mounting. A height-adjustable stand ensures an improved ergonomic posture during use. The monitor can be moved to a maximum height of 13 cm. This value is always measured from the bottom edge of the screen.

Rotate, tilt and swivel

The monitor from ViewSonic has a pivot function and can thus be rotated using the included stand. A rotation to the left is possible with up to 90 degree. To the right, the monitor can be rotated by 90 degree. The VP2756-2K can be swiveled when mounted on the included stand. Pivoting to the left is possible up to 120 degree. Pivoting to the right is possible up to 120 degree. The monitor VP2756-2K offers the option of adjusting the tilt as required to create an ergonomic working environment and reduce visual fatigue. The angle of inclination to the rear is 21. The monitor can be tilted forward by 5 degree.

Ports

camera

Loudspeaker

The monitor from ViewSonic has integrated speakers, for playing sounds, music or speech. The sound is emitted via 2 speakers, which are integrated into the device. Each of the built-in speakers has a contingent of 2 w power.

Features

Anyone who works a lot on the computer spends many hours a day in front of the screen. Excessive screen work can damage the eyes. This effect can be particularly pronounced during the darker hours and in the winter months. Many monitor manufacturers have now reacted and offer technologies and settings to reduce the blue component, which is primarily controversial. Depending on the manufacturer, these can be called "Low Blue Light", "Low Blue Light Technology", "SoftBlue" or even "Eye Saver Mode" and function differently. However, it is only important that ViewSonic offers a technology to reduce the blue content in its monitor VP2756-2K.

The monitor VP2756-2K has a split-screen functionality, which allows us to display multiple video inputs/signals simultaneously on the monitor. This feature divides the screen area into several parts, each of which displays an image of a different input signal.

Power consumption

On average, the monitor consumes approximately 2.5 w. The maximum power consumption (peak) specified for this monitor is 34 w. In standby mode, the device consumes approximately 0.3 w. In ECO mode, the monitor consumes 16.5 w. The monitor can be operated on a 110v power supply. The monitor can be operated on a 220v power supply. The power grid has to supply a frequency of 50 hz to 60 hz.

Environment

The maximum permissible ambient temperature is 40 °C during operation. Below a temperature of 0 °C , the monitor from ViewSonic should again not be used. The humidity must not exceed 90 percent. At least, however, 20 percent humidity. The monitor may be stored at a maximum humidity of 90 percent. The minimum humidity during storage should not fall below 5 percent. The maximum storage temperature should be according to ViewSonic 60 °C. Minimal were given by ViewSonic 20 °C.

Packaging

The monitor is packaged in a cardboard box measuring 46.5 x 74 x 22.5 cm (height x width x depth). The box together with the monitor weighs about 9.5 kg.
