Light
The lamp can assume a color temperature between 2700 and 6500 kelvin. The brightness (lumens) of the Smarthome light was specified by Ledvance with 470 lumen. For comparison, an average halogen tube has a value of about 410 lumens with a power consumption of 40W. Typical light bulbs from the old days usually consume about 25-40 watts per hour. Design
The first step is the sustainability check: The installed light sources are permanently installed by Ledvance and thus unfortunately cannot be replaced. Although LEDs consume less power and have a longer lifespan, this is very annoying, especially for larger devices. With bulbs that have the electronics directly installed, a change by the manufacturer is difficult to implement. This is unfortunately a pity, but currently unavoidable. Ledvance chose plastic/glas as the casing material. The color was kept in white. This light weighs 30 g.
Protection
The IP rating classifies and evaluates the level of protection that mechanical and electrical enclosures provide against ingress, dust, accidental contact and water. These smarthome lights are classified as IP20.
