Specifications

The company Livarno Lux offers with its product GU10 Bulb a smarthome solution in the field of lighting. We have categorized this product as spot.

Communication

A wide variety of technologies can be used to control the Smarthome light, each of which can have its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, control via Wifi can be integrated into an existing network over longer distances, but consumes more power than, for example, Zigbee or Bluetooth. Wifi is therefore only suitable for devices that are permanently connected to the power grid. GU10 Bulb supports the following technologies:

  • Zigbee
To control this device, you must own or purchase a corresponding hub.

Supported functions

The following features/functions are supported by this device:

  • Switch the light on or off via your smartphone or the Bridge.
  • Change the brightness.
  • Changing the color temperature like warm or cool white.
  • The luminaire can be configured to emit a white light.
  • Automatic switch-on behavior.

Third party integrations

Don't want to use the integration/bridge that the manufacturer Livarno Lux specifies? That's not a problem. See the list below for all verified integrations that work with GU10 Bulb :

  • Zigbee2MQTT
  • ioBroker
  • Zigate
  • Deconz
  • Zigbee home automation
  • Google Home
  • Alexa Smart Home

Light

With many lamps, the color temperature can be adjusted via app. In this model, the color temperature ranges from 2200 kelvin to 6500 kelvin. The smart bulb has a brightness of about 280 lumen. However, it should be noted that these values are often tested with a white light, as this is the brightest. Livarno Lux has defined the power consumption for the devices described here with 5 w. However, the specification may differ from the actual power consumption depending on which colors/color temperatures and brightnesses are set. For example, while manufacturers mostly measure lumens at white color and full brightness, the power consumption might have been measured at slight dimming. However, it would also be possible to measure at full brightness, which could lower the power consumption at 5 w. In short, this is an approximate guide from Livarno Lux.

Design

If we look at the design, we inevitably have to look at the smart light's casing. Complete systems are often offered particularly pretty or compact. Unfortunately, this also means that opening the housing is not provided and changing the light source is not possible. However, if it is a smart device with a lamp socket, for example, the illuminants can be changed in the simplest way. In this case, it is unfortunately not possible to change the bulbs used from GU10 Bulb because they are permanently installed. This is usually the case with smart light bulbs and cannot be solved without problems, for example at Livarno Lux. The housing is made of white plastics.

Protection

Please be careful when exposing these lights to water, dust or mechanical stress because the GU10 Bulb does not have IP certification.
